The Wombats – Anti-D

Check out the new video from The Wombats directed by Marc Klasfeld.

It’s based around some overly happy people from the ‘burbs. At first i thought they all had bad fake tans, but I’m beginning to think they are supposed to look sick. Either way the doctors in this area don’t seem to be very helpful.

Enjoy.

We Are Enfant Terrible – Filthy Love

New video from We Are Enfant Terrible for their song Filthy Love.

The clip is directed by bif who did that TCM promo you might have seen. Once again bif uses colour well and an ice combo of effects. The conclusion is somewhat predictable, though not entirely, but satisfying.

Enjoy.

No Age – Fever Dreaming

Holy hell, how did i miss this one?!

Have a look at this clip by Patrick Daughters, from The Directors Bureau, for No Age. It had me completely sucked in.

Words cannot explain how great it is to see some original ideas out there. Plus the post is done so well you don’t realise it’s there at first.

Enjoy.

Metronomy – She Wants

Metronomy has a new video out for She Wants and it’s done by Jul & Mat!

I think I’m in love. One of my favorite bands and one of my favorite directors together! If there was a trash magazine about my life, this would certainly be on the front cover this week.

A great feeling to this one. They used some time remapping to such great effect you start to wonder if that’s really how they did it (I’m pretty sure that’s how they did it). There’s also some great type treatment sprinkled throughout.

On a selfish note; I haven’t posted for a while, had some troubles with the Vimeo embed on my site. I think vimeo changed something in they way they work and the plugin i use on my site freaked out. Luckily it’s been updated now so everything should be working fine.

Enjoy. (credits after the break)

Two Door Cinema Club – What You Know

Another awesome video from Two Door Cinema Club.

Created by CANADA (not the country) it’s for their new song ‘What You Know’. It’s full of some pretty simple, sometimes awkward and yet surprisingly entertaining dance moves. Then just when you think you’ve seen enough they mix it up a bit.

A+++ Would watch again.

Enjoy.
