Check out this clip from Bark Bark Disco. I’ve seen a few done in this style now.

It’s a tribute to 70’s erotic legend Brigitte Lahaie, with the footage taken from the film ‘Six Swedish Girls in a Boarding School‘.

Xiu Xiu – Dear God, I Hate Myself

Wow, this is a pretty brutal clip for Xiu Xiu. It’s directed by the band so I’d bet large amounts of cash that this is the theme of the song.

It’s kind of disgusting at first, well it stays disgusting, but i really admire how well this is pulled off. I found myself humming this song after seeing it and thinking about the message.

Well delivered.

Also, I’m impressed that dude can stomach the chocolate all the way through this.

Check out the latest clip for We Have Band by Jul & Mat.

It’s got some pretty cool effects and really builds on its self. Every time it’s becoming stale they mix it up.

This one is worth a look.

OK Go – This Too Shall Pass

Ok Go have a lot to live up to after being known for the “treadmill clip”. Well thanks to this clip I think they are the band that did the “mega mousetrap” video. (It’s actually called a Rube Goldberg machine)

It’s directed by James Frost, OK Go and Syyn Labs. The video was filmed in a two story warehouse, in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. The “machine” was designed and built by the band, along with members of Synn Labs over the course of several months.

I’m putting this up as I watch it for a 2nd and 3rd time. I’m loving the TV part, where they smash a tv with their treadmill video on it. I think they are trying to kill their reputation for that video too.

Anyone else got a favourite? There is a lot to take in.
