Here’s the clip for Crystalised by The xx. It’s directed by Alex Flick and Masato Riesser.

Maybe it’s just because I’m really digging these guys at the moment, I think I’m a little behind, but this clip is really doing it for me. The whole tone and themes suit it perfectly.

So watch this clip, then go get this album.

“What the hell is The Phenomenal Handclap Band?” They do that song with the numbers you can’t get out of your head. The clip is directed by Moh Azima, and has some pretty cool styles.

It’s a bit of a flashback to some techniques that were once overdone, everything old is new again! It’s pulled off pretty well and the retro film look is cool.

Check it out.

The Croft Alley Project

So The Croft Alley Project was on last Saturday. What a huge day.

Big shout out to WMSG, DBTC, The Croft Institue and all the artists for making it happen.

Got some good ones in here, including a guy that was almost 100 and came to check out the art. Good to see all ages out at the event.

Photo’s after the break.

Check out this clip by Pomp&Clout for Boys Noize.

All the footage was created in analog and digitally captured. I guess that means they got a stack of VHS tapes an old TV and some big magnets, then filmed the results?

However they did it, it’s cool and worth a look. Feast your eyes!
