I can’t belive this is 3D! Nathan Love and the team have worked hard for this oil paint style rendering for RescueFood.org. Pretty impressive style and an enjoyable ad to watch too.

The Mourning Sons at IDGAFF

A couple of weeks back I shot The Mourning Sons at IDGAFF. Great guys and some serious talent to boot. Check out their myspace to hear some of their tunes (They have an Album on the way).
Moon

Moon is a new film directed by Duncan Jones (David Bowie’s Son!). It’s already released in the US and has a date for the UK.
It is a SiFi movie but don’t hold that against it. SiFi as a genre gets a bad wrap, but there is some great SiFi out there to be seen. Having said that I have been know to like the bad SiFI stuff too.
I’m hanging out for it’s release here. It looks like it could be a great film, the trailer has me really excited. Don’t let me down Duncan!
Anti-human trafficking PSA

This is a Public Service Announcement on Anti-human trafficking funded by MTV EXIT Asia / USAIDS. Production was done by Mirrorshade.
The video is show as if it’s welcoming a new member to ITA (International Traffickers Association). It’s a great way of getting the message across, and the black humor of it makes it hit even harder when you realise this stuff actually happens.
Apparently it was shot in HD then degraded to give the final result.
Opera Unite

So this is what Web 3.0 is going to be like. I’ve been hearing a bit of buzz about web 3.0 building on the current social networks. Well this is Opera Unite it’s currently in an alpha release. It’s a direct connection with other users, effectively cutting out the middle man that is web services.
I’m excited about the possibilities of collaboration and sharing that would come with a service like this. I can only begin to imagine the sorts of things that will come from this.
If anyone’s keen to try out the alpha with me, let me know.
